The 44th Regiment of Foot was established in the summer of 2003 by a group of dedicated re-enactors and historians with the purpose of re-creating the life of a company of British soldiers with the utmost authenticity. The 44th regiment was chosen for its vast involvement in the French & Indian war, from Braddock's fateful March in 1755 to the seige of Montreal in 1760, the gallant 44th witnessed it all. Vast amounts of research and preperation are being put into this impression as re-enactors around the country come together to produce the most authentic and zealous group ever assembled. |
