Calling all campfollowers!

There were scores of campfollowers and laborers that traveled with Braddock's army in 1755, women, children, wagon drivers, wood cutters, and sutlers to name a few. These people were an invaluable part of the traveling army, and played an important role at the battle near Fort Duquesne. Women shared the same fate as the soldiers when the British forces were ambushed by a party of French and Indians, and were even among the list of captured and wounded. Todays campfollowers will have the chance to take an active part in the re-enactment of Braddock's march in 2005.
